Meet The Team
Interim Incumbent
Revd Jane Held
Jane has been a rural priest since 2017, working first in Suffolk and then here in the lovely Staffordshire Moorlands. She was originally an archaeologist, and then worked in local government until 2004, when she went independent, working for both local and central government. She is deeply committed to ensuring ministry is to be found wherever people need it, both in our churches and in our communities, and is deeply grateful for being able to serve Ipstones, Berkhamsytch and Bottomhouse, Bradnop, Onecote and Butterton.
Retired Clergy
Revd Arthur Hack
Ordained in 2008 while running Dovedale House in Ilam, Arthur served as Priest-in-Charge of the Waterfall Benefice (5 churches) until retiring to Ipstones.
He has held the Bishops’ Licence to Officiate (for both Lichfield & Derby) since, and continues to officiate at services, baptisms, weddings & funerals in parishes around the area.
Licenced Reader
Roger Cutts
Roger Cutts is a Lay Reader in the benefice and Local Preacher in the Methodist Circuit. Roger enjoys leading worship of all styles from Traditional to Contemporary and is particularly keen to build ecumenical links between all the churches in the Benefice. Roger lives with his wife Dora in Ipstones and they both enjoy pursuing everyday activities in the midst of our beautiful countryside.
